Networks & Security

Your network works until the day it does not. That day is rarely convenient.

Wired and wireless builds that cover the whole building, plus the firewall, endpoint and backup work that keeps them safe. Documented properly and handed over with the passwords — your network belongs to you, not to whoever installed it.

Moving, expanding, or opening a second location? Loop us in before the furniture arrives — re-cabling an occupied office costs several times what doing it first would have.

Network Work

Building and running the infrastructure

Wired and wireless builds

Switches, access points, VLANs and cabling done neatly the first time, with coverage that reaches the far corner of the building.

Firewalls and segmentation

Proper perimeter policy, guest networks that are actually separate, and production kept isolated from the office side.

VPN and remote access

Secure access for staff working from home or on the road, without opening your network to everyone else.

Endpoint protection

Managed antivirus, ransomware protection and multi-factor authentication across every machine, monitored rather than installed and forgotten.

Backup and disaster recovery

On-site and off-site backups that are tested rather than assumed, with a real plan for getting you running again.

Documentation and handover

Diagrams, credentials and a written record of how it is put together. If we vanished tomorrow your next provider could pick it up.

Want this monitored continuously rather than built and left? That is managed IT.

Built once, documented properly, and yours to keep. Let us look at what you have.

Documented

Diagrams and credentials handed over.

Tested backups

Not assumed, actually restored.

No lock-in

Your network, your passwords.

Compliance

Backup and security that stands up to an audit

Backup and cybersecurity built on SOC 2 Type II audited platforms and configured to meet HIPAA and PCI DSS requirements — encryption at rest and in transit, enforced access control, retention and destruction rules, and audit logging you can actually produce when somebody asks for it.

If a client, an insurer or a regulator has asked you a question your current setup cannot answer, that gap is usually the cheapest thing on this page to fix.

The short version

SOC 2 Type II audited platforms. HIPAA Security Rule configuration and signed Business Associate Agreements. PCI DSS scoping and segmentation for cardholder environments.

Questions

Network and security questions

Are your backup and security services compliant?

They are built on SOC 2 Type II audited platforms and configured to meet HIPAA and PCI DSS requirements. We sign Business Associate Agreements for healthcare clients. The full detail, including what we do not claim, is on the compliance page.

Our Wi-Fi does not reach the whole building. Is that fixable?

Almost always, and usually not by buying a stronger router. It is normally an access point placement and channel problem, which a survey settles quickly.

How do we know our backups actually work?

By restoring from them on a schedule. If nobody has tested a restore, you have copies rather than backups — that distinction turns into a very bad day eventually.

Do you hold our passwords and configurations?

We keep them securely and so do you. Documentation and credentials are handed over as standard, because a network you cannot access is not really yours.

We have old machinery that cannot be updated. What then?

You isolate it. Segmenting unpatched equipment onto its own network is standard practice and far cheaper than replacing working machinery.

Backup & Security Compliance

SOC 2 Type II platforms

The backup and security platforms we deploy are independently SOC 2 Type II audited.

HIPAA controls, BAAs signed

Configured to the HIPAA Security Rule, and we sign Business Associate Agreements.

PCI DSS aligned

Cardholder environments segmented, encrypted and logged to PCI DSS requirements.
