Industries

Generic IT meets generic requirements. Yours are not generic.

Different industries carry different obligations about how data is stored, who can reach it, and how long it has to be kept. We build the technology around those rules rather than bolting them on two years later at four times the cost.

Tell us what you have to answer for. We will tell you whether your setup can currently answer it.

Verticals

Eleven industries, eleven different problems

The technology underneath is similar. What differs is what you have to prove, who asks, and what it costs when you cannot. Each of these links somewhere useful.

Law Firms & Legal

Retention rules that actually execute, access logging that answers "who saw this", and encryption on the laptop that goes home each night. Our deepest specialism, and the one clients check hardest.

IT for law firms →

Healthcare & Medical Practices

Practice management and imaging systems, medical devices running operating systems nobody can patch any more, and the segmentation that keeps those devices from becoming the way in.

Ask about your practice →

Manufacturing & Industrial

Shop floor kept isolated from the office network, machine controllers that cannot be updated segmented rather than replaced, and CAD files backed up like the intellectual property they are.

Ask about your shop floor →

Construction & The Trades

Connectivity at the job site, crews working off phones and tablets, plan sets that have to be current, and file sharing with subcontractors that does not hand over the entire project.

Ask about your crews →

Real Estate, Title & Escrow

Agents working out of cars, transaction files stuffed with personal data, and the wire fraud problem that has cost Ohio buyers their deposits. Verification belongs in the process, not in a warning email.

Ask about wire fraud controls →

Insurance Agencies

The written information security program ORC Chapter 3965 obliges you to maintain, built to your actual size — plus the carrier portals every producer in the office logs into daily.

Ask about ORC 3965 →

Mortgage, Lending, Accounting & Tax

A written security plan that satisfies the Safeguards Rule, client document exchange that is not an email attachment, and systems that hold up through the weeks when everyone files at once.

Ask about the Safeguards Rule →

Engineering, Architecture & Surveying

Large-file storage that does not fall over, CAD workstations specified for the work rather than the budget, version control on plan sets, and bids that stay confidential until they open.

Ask about your drawings →

Cities, Villages & Townships

Council and department systems, records retention that runs itself, and the public records request that always arrives on a Friday afternoon. No safe harbour means prevention is doing all the work.

Ask about your municipality →

School Districts

Student information systems, one-to-one device fleets that come back every June, and keeping staff and student data properly separated under FERPA.

Ask about your district →

Police, Fire & Courts

CJIS-aware network design, evidence and recording storage with a defensible chain, and systems expected to stay up at three in the morning because that is when they are needed.

Ask about CJIS →

Do not see yours? The underlying work is usually the same — tell us what you have to comply with. Every industry above is also covered on the secure email and Ohio compliance page.

Name your industry and we will name the rule that applies to it.

Why It Matters

Compliance is a design decision, not a checkbox

The expensive version of compliance is the one where a firm builds its systems first, then discovers two years later that retention, access logging or encryption were never set up the way the rules require. Retrofitting that costs several times what building it correctly would have.

The questions worth asking early are unglamorous. Who can see this data and can you prove it. How long must it be kept and what deletes it afterward. What happens if a laptop leaves the building. If your current setup cannot answer those, that is the work — not the software you were about to buy.

Build it right once, or retrofit it three times. Those are the options.

A second opinion costs nothing

If you have been quoted for a compliance project and want someone to sanity-check the scope before you sign, we are happy to look.

Backup & Security Compliance

SOC 2 Type II platforms

The backup and security platforms we deploy are independently SOC 2 Type II audited.

HIPAA controls, BAAs signed

Configured to the HIPAA Security Rule, and we sign Business Associate Agreements.

PCI DSS aligned

Cardholder environments segmented, encrypted and logged to PCI DSS requirements.
